Normally you should not need to use any updater program, nor updates, if everything is working fine for you. It is unless they are security updates. Automatic updating to a new version, may bring you into a situation, when some of the features you are used to are not available anymore...

Yeah I don't always use filehippo but sometime I do so I don't have to go to every program official websites (waste my time). 1 or 2 programs give out a lot of new versions or fixes in a month alone.
