I'd like to take the time to spread a cool tool that will help you stop some traffic analysis done by Google, the great protector of privacy (just kidding, of course).
SCROOGLE is that tool. It's short for "screw Google", I'd guess. The guy who runs it got fed up with Google's anti-privacy practices and decided to route around them and help you do the same if you so choose. Here's what it does:
You go there and make a
Scroogle search and Google then doesn't see your IP or any other information (your browser, screen width, etc) connected with your search terms. They return Google's search results on their page. All Google can see is a search term that was searched for and the IP of one of Scroogle's servers.
I like it and use it, so I thought I'd spread the cheer. The link there is to their SSL encrypted search page, so not even your ISP will know what you're search terms are.

Or if you're on unsecured wireless, that'll help you maintain your search privacy as well.
Scroolge it!
