I have this mad idea I'd like to demo.

What if you could follow the worst signal provider. One who loses consistently.
And instead of taking his signals, you trade the opposite of them?

Theoretically, you would win right?

What about trading systems? What are the worst manual trading systems out there? Can we trade against them and win?

List your worst experiences here. Perhaps, by doing the opposite of what they recommend, we can clean up instead of wipe out

I tried OzFX method on 5 minute chart for a laugh since it's supposed to be just a daily system. It didn't go very well so I guess I need a new, bad system to try.

Personally I don't like the idea because it could cost the traders who rely on these systems and signals to lose. These are usually traders with small amounts of funds.

We are here to help these newbies not take them for a ride.

But I agree it could work, I 've often thought about that myself

If you read the OP again, I said demo, not live. It's just an experiment.

Yes, I understand that Jafar, I just wanted to put the con to it out there to give the traders who can afford to take that gamble something to think about first.

I see this market as a way for people to get into a position to rely on themselves for their financial future as the world is going to the pits.

I know it's a cut throat business but I'd rather take from the rich than the poor. The rich can afford some losses the poor can't afford much at all.

Unfortunately a lot of these systems aren't worth crap and cost newbies hundreds of thousands of dollars every year. It's a learning path they'll have to take toward learning to become a good trader but it can be devasting to some who put their life savings into this.

You will be doing it with a practice account but if you show success, someone will notice and take advantage of it for real I'm sure.

However I do know of a way to possibly beat those wealthy traders. The same way they take ours, .... more money leverage than theirs. But it would take a massive unification of all small to mid size traders to do it.

With millions of small traders trading the same direction at the same time could it be possible to influence the price movement of a currency? I wonder.................hmmmm

Looking at forex like that is really the wrong way to go about it. Forex is a risk market. That means you should not rely on it alone as an investment. It is an important part of any complete investment strategy, but as a job where you are relying on a trade to profit in order to feed your family? No, I don't think so.

That's exactly right. But some of these people are risk takers anyway. If they don't drop their living money into forex, they will just lose it at the blackjack table in the casino or something. If you want to trade, learn and pay for training if needed. Don't rely on the next kooky system promising to make $1,000,000 from $100 in 30 days.

I know what you are saying, and if we find something that works, and they decide to risk something on it, good for them! If I trade it live, I would also being doing it with risk capital, not my main account.

Extremely unlikely. You know the mantra. The Forex market rolls over $2.6 trillion or so per day. A few hundred million dollars or so is not likely to move the market much really

Yea but those trillions are spread out over different currency pairs. I only want to move one pair.

Hahahaha, yeh maybe if the millions of traders were actully trading the real market and not the false market based on Forex prices made up by their brokers i.e. 'market makers'.

Also If a broker gets orders for 3000 shorts all at once they will shut down. There is no way they will take the orders it just wont happen. It is completely implausible and it would not work.
